A COMPANY specialising in asbestos risk management is making growth plans in Crewe following the government's Covid-19 review.

SCK Group Ltd, originally based at The Quadrangle at Crewe Hall, was hit hard last year with restrictions on movements around the country forcing it to establish temporary offices in Dartford in Kent to accommodate its southern-based operations.

The company, which was founded in 2019, specialises in asbestos risk management and holds an Asbestos Removal Licence from the Health and Safety Executive.

Compliance with health and safety legislation is of paramount importance and during long periods of uncertainty during the coronavirus pandemic, SCK Group has looked towards improvements in best practice and has established excellent health and safety management systems.

The company says asbestos still remains a serious concern in many workplaces with current estimates of up to 5,000 asbestos related deaths per year, including mesothelioma, asbestosis and lung cancer.

With the impending relaxation of Covid restrictions in the coming months, SCK says it is looking to search for warehouse premises in the Crewe area where the business was initially established.

The firm is also looking to expand its premises in the Essex area.
