THE Co-op is looking for local groups in Crewe to apply for its next round of the Local Community Fund.

A new survey from Co-op reveals 53% of local community causes have seen available funding decrease in past 12 months, with three quarters expecting demand for their services to increase.

Last week saw 4,500 local causes receive a payout from Co-op's Local Community Fund.

Payout day was celebrated across the nation and, while previous years have had celebrations in stores and cause centres, this year celebrations were enjoyed remotely.

South Cheshire CLASP is one of 4,500 Co-op Local Community Fund causes receiving a share of £15m raised by Co-op Members this month.

The organisation is delighted to be reconnecting with single parent families in the Crewe area after having to shut down its services during the first lockdown.
